Terraform Provider Update: Configure SAML Group Sync

May 3 2024

🏗️ Building off last week’s announcement, we’re happy to let you know we’ve added another new capability to Cloudsmith’s Terraform Provider. With the latest version, you can create and configure SAML Group Sync mappings 🗺️ via Terraform.

🎉 Key highlights:

  • SAML Group Sync configuration: You can now create, update and delete SAML Group Sync mappings within your Terraform configuration.
  • Automate team membership: Once SAML Group Sync has been enabled and configured, you can synchronize membership to Cloudsmith teams to groups defined within your Identity provider.
  • Streamlined workflow: Integrate SAML Group Sync setup seamlessly into your Terraform workflow. Define configurations alongside your existing infrastructure-as-code practices, enabling consistent management and versioning across your entire infrastructure stack.

How to get started:

  1. Update Terraform Provider: Make sure you're using the latest version of Cloudsmith’s Terraform Provider to access the new SAML Group Sync capabilities. You can download the latest release from our official repository.
  2. Configure SAML Group Sync mappings: Create and manage SAML Group Sync mappings in your Terraform code using the provided resources and parameters. Refer to our documentation for detailed guidance on setting up and customizing SAML Group Sync mappings.
  3. Apply Changes: Once you've configured your SAML Group Sync mappings, apply the changes using Terraform. Terraform will handle the provisioning and configuration tasks, ensuring consistency and reliability across your infrastructure.

We’re eager to ensure Cloudsmith’s Terraform Provider is a valuable resource for your team. If you have any suggestions, encounter issues, or want to contribute to the development 🙌 , contact us at support@cloudsmith.io or create a Github issue under our Terraform Provider repository.

Happy packaging! 🎈
