Gain usage insights with Client Logs (now in the new web app)

May 29 2025

We've introduced Client Logs into the new web app user interface, delivering a significantly improved experience for gaining visibility into package usage across your Cloudsmith workspace. Previously available in our legacy UI, Client Logs is now more performant, accessible, and interactive. This allows you to visualize, filter, and export information to better understand how your packages are consumed, whether by CI/CD pipelines, IDEs, or external consumers.

Logs

Client Logs offers an artifact-agnostic view, unifying data from all repositories, packages, and users within your Cloudsmith workspace. This enables insights into various aspects of package usage, such as identifying frequently delivered Maven artifacts or tracking artifact usage within specific pipelines.

Key features include:

  • Centralized Overview: Access a unified view of package delivery events across your entire workspace.
  • Filtering Capabilities: You can scope your search using filters for target parameters (e.g., package format, repository type, repository name) and actor parameters (e.g., IP address, user type, user, entitlement token).
  • Reporting: Export filtered event data in CSV format for further analysis or external reporting.
  • Event Details: Review individual delivery events, including information such as event type, timestamp, HTTP status code, target name, file size, and latency.
  • Interactive Time-Graph: Visualize event distribution over time and zoom into specific periods for detailed analysis.

Access to Client Logs is available to managers and owners within your Cloudsmith workspace as part of our Early Access (EA) program.
